Joomla! Maintenance Contracts
Regular site maintenance will save hours of inconvenience if you are subject to a malicious attack or unavoidable server malfunction.
What should regular DIY maintenance involve? 1) regular backing up of your website database (Example: monthly); 2) retaining a copy on your PC of uploaded files (images, documents, multimedia etc); 3) retaining notes of changes you have made to the configuration of extensions (if any); 4) registering with The Joomla! Project for news about Joomla! Upgrades; 5) registering with developers of third party extensions you are using - again for news about upgrades; 6) installing Joomla! and third party upgrades (after first backing up your site).
What does our Annual Maintenance Contract cover? This service includes: 1) monthly backup of your website database; 2) monitoring and acting upon Joomla! Upgrade announcements by The Joomla! Project; 3) registering with, monitoring and acting upon upgrade announcements by third party extension providers - in accordance with terms agreed prior to commencement of the contract; 4) restoration of third party extension configuration settings (see Item b below); 5) database backup prior to undertaking any upgrades; 6) notification to you 24 hours before an upgrade takes place; 7) transfer to you of the database backed up monthly and/or prior to upgrade.
The service does not include: a) backing up of files you have uploaded (images, documents, multimedia etc); b) restoration of extension configuration settings for any extensions not installed by Wynchcote; c) restoration of extension configuration settings made by the client.
How much does it cost? Prices will vary depending upon the extent of cover required. Fees are paid in advance on a six-monthly or annual basis (when a discounted rate will apply). Do It Yourself?
